We Love Them All!

FERAL CAT PROBLEM

Love of Animals supports an active program of TNR, otherwise known as Trap, Neuter, Return. Through this program, two processes take place.

First, food is collected from retailers with “broken bags.” This food is distributed among the volunteers serving various sites where significant numbers of feral cats gather. The cats are fed, and are not left to starve.

Second, humane traps – those that do not harm animals in any way – are used to catch feral cats, so that they can be taken to cooperating agencies/veterinarians to be spayed or neutered.

Because feral cats cannot be adopted out to families, they are returned to their gathering spots and released. While this is less than the ideal – a loving home – it does prevent the uncontrolled breeding that increases the problem.

If you are able to help with this project, or if you need help with one or more feral cats, email Pam at loaspayneuter@gmail.com  and provide your name, address, phone number and the number of feral cats targeted for trapping and allow up to a few days for a response.
