"Bart" Simpson came to us from a home in Ivanhoe, CA. During their visit, we took in a total of 8 canine companions to help get their count down. They were given information of other resources for spay & neuter and re-homing.

We handled all the companions from the home as most had limited contact with people (it was crazy trying to catch them). Bart was hesitant at first but did warm up more with his first foster Laurie. At night at his current foster home he snuggles up and sleeps on bed with his head on her chest.  During the day, he can be found lounging in the sun on his bed and floor or playing with other foster dogs. Uses the dog door when he needs to. 

Are you the new family that can give Bart what he needs that does not have small children and can work to gain his trust.

As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.

Love of Animals will screen potential adoption parents to ensure the companion WILL NOT be a fighting dog.
