Ms. Iona has come back to LOA due to her adopted family splitting up. When her adopted father called the foster mom she gladly opened her door for Iona to come back. Iona's adopted daddy is heart broken that he can not keep her as she was his running companion while he was stateside serving our country. Unfortunately he is getting deployed again and could find no way to take her with him overseas.

Iona gave the family very little problems and adjusted very well to her home after a couple of weeks. We ask that she is monitored for the first few weeks of adoption to ensure a good fit. Give Iona a chance as she will be a sweet addition to your family.

More about Iona

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Special Needs: Iona was adopted at the 2009 May Super Adoption in Fresno. Unfortunately on the way to her new home, the car window was down enough for her to jump out breaking her front left leg. He foster family took her back and had it set. She has had a splint on her leg from the beginning of May until almost the end of August. The foster family hopes that she will get adopted again as she is a wonderful and loving companion but she will need to be kept on a leash when outdoors/traveling if there is no fence around the front yard for the first several weeks until she adjusts to her new home.
