Piper was found along with Chloe alongside the highway dirty and hungry. They were taken to a foster home where they received food, a good cleaning, and most of all safety. She is crate trained and very playful.

As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
