Daisy is a sweet gentle giant. Is a small puppy caught in a large dog body. Is fostered with other cannines and felines and gets along well with all of them. When feeding wet food or giving treats, is is best to separate her as she likes to get it all herself and has growled at others scaring them.

Her story is different as her first foster home was closed and the day she was moved to a new foster home she was taken and spayed. Everything was okay other then she was scared herself as this was all new to her. Few day later (Easter Sunday night) someone kicked in some of the board at her foster home and drug her off. Her foster mom was hurt by these actions and set out to get her back. Who ever had taken her just released her most likely because they found out she was spayed.

Just over two weeks, and several attempts, she was finally caught. The chase took several volunteers and even an off duty sherriff's officer. Once caught, she was taken for a check up at the vet and to get the stitches removed. During her sun, she went from 102 lbs to 92 lbs. Now months later, she has gained the weight plus a few more pounds. She is so sweet but her foster mom knows she needs a family who can make her a special part of their lives.

As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.

Love of Animals will screen potential adoption parents to ensure the companion WILL NOT be a fighting dog.
